Everyone who attends the Arabian Breeders World Cup has an opinion about what makes it the top show in America. However, most will agree that two of the most defining aspects of the event are the horses that are presented and the judges who officiate the competition. The Arabian Breeders World Cup is delighted to join Horsefly Films in bringing a once-in-a-lifetime experience to the international Arabian horse community as we celebrate the World Premiere of the documentary feature film PATH TO GLORY: The Rise & Rise of the Polish Arabian Horse. With interviews, rare archival footage and photographs previously lost to history, as well as a powerful score by Brandon Visel, this in-depth film documents the unlikely, triumphant story of Poland's entrance onto the world stage and their worldwide influence on the breeding of one animal. This breathtaking documentary tells the story of how a beleaguered nation rose up to become the pinnacle of Arabian horse breeding, coming full circle from desert sands to the hallowed halls of Europe. This is the strange, unexpected story of far-flung lands as disparate as Egypt and the Arabian desert, and the long-suffering Slavic kingdom of Poland coming together in war and in peace and influencing one another through the living history written on the backs of centuries of horses.

The Arabian Breeders World Cup is proudly celebrating its 5th anniversary in 2011. What began with an enthusiastic idea to bring an international style show to North America, the Arabian Breeders World Cup has evolved into one of the premier Arabian horse events on the annual worldwide calendar.

Each year, the show has featured the finest Arabian horses from around the world, with winners representing over 20 countries and all six inhabited continents. From the very first year when the Chilean-bred & owned LL BEAUTY DREAM claimed the Senior Mare Championship, the World Cup Supreme Champion Mare has proudly been awarded to a mare bred & owned outside of North America. Several unforgettable World Cup winners have come from the most respected breeding programs in Poland, Brazil, Australia, Belgium, Argentina, the Gulf & Middle East as well as the United States & Canada.

The World Cup has always celebrated the Arabian breeder. As such, the Breeders Cup award has remained the ultimate prize of each event. To date, three outstanding international breeders have claimed the highest honour:

Another highlight of the World Cup is always the Opening Night Breeders Gala on Thursday evening. Organized at several of the hottest nightclubs and addresses in Las Vegas, the Gala has proven to be the party of the year each April and provided a unique opportunity to visit and let loose with friends and colleagues from around the world. The 2011 Opening Night Breeders Gala will be hosted at TAO (at The Venetian), an extraordinary nightclub with outstanding reviews. Prepare for another night of exhilarating excitement and great company.

Introduced in 2010, Gold, Silver & Bronze Champions, as well as a full Top Ten, will be awarded in all Supreme Championships for Yearling Filly & Colts, Junior Mares & Stallions and Senior Mares & Stallions. Gold, Silver & Bronze honours will also be bestowed upon victors in the ever popular Amateur to Handle (ATH) Championships. Expect excitement and enthusiastic crowd support in the Cox Communications Arabian Freestyle Liberty Jackpot, where the winner will take home the lion`s share of over $5000 in prize money. His Majesty Mohammed VI King of Morocco will once again serve as High Patron of the show with his generous donation of authentic Arabic saddles and golden stirrups for all the Supreme Breeding Champions.

GELDING CLASSES AT THE ARABIAN BREEDERS WORLD CUP
Classes for geldings have been cancelled indefinitely at the Arabian Breeders World Cup. Unfortunately, the division failed to grow in the first four years of the event. The total number of entries in 2007 was ten, eight entries in 2008, and six geldings each in 2009 & 2010.

Geldings are still eligible and very welcome to show in the Amateur to Handle (ATH) classes alongside the colts and stallions. The class numbers in which geldings may show are as follows:

We also strongly encourage gelding participation in the Cox Communications Arabian Freestyle Liberty Championship. This popular event is a highlight of Championship Sunday. Prize money of over $5,000 is up for grabs!

We would like to honour the past World Cup Gelding Champions and thank all the exhibitors, breeders and owners for supporting the World Cup with several truly exceptional geldings.
