Silvia Garde-Ehlert - Biography


GESTÜT GUT ALEMICH, GERMANY

Silvia Garde-Ehlert has been with and around horses since her early childhood. She learned to ride at an early age. Silvia is in charge of one of Europe's most well-known stud farms, "GESTÜT GUT ALEMICH", which is located near the city of Cologne, Germany. For 40 years they have been breeding purebred Arabian horses.

Another major interest for Silvia is fine art. Over the years, she has studied art and has had many exhibitions in modern international galleries. One of her favorite subjects is the Arabian horse.

Silvia is an ECAHO A-Judge. She judged her first shows in 1980 and five years later, in 1985, she became an A - judge. Silvia commented, “I am proud to mention that I have judged the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in Paris, France five times, the ALL NATIONS CUP in Aachen, Germany six times, the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS three times, the POLISH NATIONALS two times, as well as many CLASS A-SHOWS and NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS of different countries including Australia, Spain, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Italy. I have also judged in England, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Italy, USA, Arabian Emirates, Qatar, and Libya.
