Media Coverage of the 2014 ABWC in Las Vegas
The Arabian Horse Breeders Alliance has worked tirelessly to develop a world-class competition that showcases the Arabian breed in an exciting way. The show caters to newcomers and owners at the same time by the planning of it's location, the atmosphere and the world-class halter horses that compete every year.
The combination of Sue Adams masterfully developed relationship with the local news media and Steve Schorrs commitment and love of the Arabian Horse has turned the ABWC show into an event that the Media can't wait to cover.
This year's coverage by both Fox 5 News and CBS Channel 8 was exhilarating to be a part of. The hosts of each channel were equally excited to share 'our' Arabian horses and all that encompasses the Event with the public.
Two of the new board members (Murray Popplewell and Larry Jerome) served their "initiation' of their seat on the ABWC BOD by joining us at 4am to be interviewed and talk about the show live. Their excitement for the show was infectious.
Steve Schorr (Las Vegas Review Journal) expressed his great passion and explanation of what makes the Arabian horse so special to him. Steve also showed off and and spoke of the importance of our highly coveted Moroccan Saddle Award. The coverage of the saddle was later reported to be a huge success. Chris and Sonya Bickford reported the following afternoon that nearly 100 people had come straight to the awards booth upon entrance to the show asking to see the coveted award.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the exhibitors that shared their time, sacrificed their sleep and brought their horses out for the live interviews.
